This means that customers can pay for goods using value held on their mobile telephone devices, simply by swiping either their airtime cards or their mobile phones and debiting the sum required for the transaction. At no cost to the merchant, MIA Bahamas installs a fully integrated merchant terminal, which provides a P.O.S system, allows purchases from mobile customers and permits merchants to sell BTC, Digicel, Lime or other top-up, in addition to MIA’s own prepaid airtime.
